About Wicon ApS

Wicon ApS was founded in 1932 by Robert Müller, as manufacturer of nearly all sorts of capacitors for the Danish radio- and television industry, as well as other purposes e.g. motor start or phase compensation.

In 1995 the management was taken over by Bjørn Ruttkay the third generation of the family.

The production of electrolytic capacitors was stopped in 1999, but Wicon still have a surplus stock of many different types for sale, and because of a cooperation with another manufacturer, Wicon also are able to deliver new capacitors.

In 1976 Wicon developed the P-core a special type of soft magnetic iron cores designed for cross-over networks in loudspeakers or as interference suppressor.

The production of cylindrical P-cores has been extended with E-cores and Toroids.

Production facilities for inductors were established in 1996.

Today the main products are P-cores and inductors.
